The department aims to plan and program research activities in the overall determined frames of the Islamic Azad University, direct students projects based on research needs of industry, provide information exchange between professors and students, evaluate research proposals, motivate students to perform research activities and help them present their  scientific research, provide students with research methods, active participation in scientific conferences and also encourage students in this regard and make recognition and appreciation outstanding students in various fields of research.
